Sarah Catterall is a dual-national [American and British] conceptual artist, filmmaker and curator.

Through the use of photography, field recordings, collage, language and readymades they use an auto-ethnographic approach that is shaped by memories of experiencing *jamais vu and feeling like a perpetual tourist.

Recent installation work has been intentionally participatory: inviting visitors to touch and move, contribute to, or pick up and listen to, or take home some of their artworks. This flexible participation allows for levels of interpretation by the visitor which engages further with ideas of [mis]communication, autonomy, perception and confession.
